FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to correct the frequency of a reference generator of a receiver, which is necessary to provide coherent reception of phase-code-manipulated (PCM) signals in a stationary transmitter-receiver system at a low signal-to-noise ratio and a large region of a priori uncertainty of frequency detuning. This method provides compensation in the receiver when receiving the PCM of the frequency detuning signals originated in the transmitter during generation and transmission of the PCM signals, and in receiver at reception of these signals, at that compensation of frequency detuning in receiver is carried out in two stages, at the first stage compensating value of frequency detuning is formed, which successively receives all possible values with pitch, having accuracy within range of a priori uncertainty of frequency detuning, at second stage accurate estimation of frequency detuning is carried out, not compensated after the first step, using a digital phase method based on determining values of phase shift between main lobes of the correlation function of two adjacent PR sequences and subsequent averaging thereof when receiving N PR sequence.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in signal/noise ratio at receiver output.
