SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a device for removing carbon dioxide from flue gas. Method involves mixing flue gas with ammonia and contacting the gas mixture with a calcium nitrate solution to form calcium carbonate precipitate and ammonium nitrate solution. Contact of gas mixture with sodium nitrate solution with formation of sodium carbonate precipitate and ammonium nitrate solution. Carbonate/bicarbonate precipitation is extracted by separating carbonate/bicarbonates (solid) from said solutions. Device comprises a reaction vessel with an inlet for receiving said solution and an inlet for receiving and delivering a mixture of flue gas/ammonia into the gas-liquid contactor, which is configured to diffuse said gas mixture into a solution of calcium nitrate or sodium nitrate. Reaction vessel is also equipped with an impeller and a pulling tube configured to circulate the diffused gaseous mixture in solutions of calcium nitrate or sodium nitrate for a period of time sufficient to form carbonate/bicarbonate precipitates which bind CO2 in solid form.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables production of several high-value products as a result of trapping carbon from flue gas, which contributes to enrichment of many countries economy, reduction of negative impact on environment.
