FIELD: production of heat-insulating articles.
SUBSTANCE: insulating article comprises a plate made from porous insulating material and wrapped in a gas-impermeable film. Method of manufacturing includes steps, on which a continuous row of plates of porous insulating material is provided on the first conveyor device and said plates are supplied to the second conveyor device. On the second conveyor device there provided is wrapping film and said film is wrapped to form a tube around said plates. Plates are filled with insulating gas and wrapping film is closed at the ends of each plate across direction of movement of the second conveyor device.
EFFECT: invention discloses a method of making an insulating article and an article produced by said method.
