FIELD: transport, package.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to provision and maintenance of reduce size of articles from mineral cotton by producing package and to device to pack articles from mineral cotton that allows to preserve reduced article size. Method comprises mineral cotton article (1) including, in fact, parallel opposite surfaces (1') and kept in, in fact, sealed air-impermeable state in foil (25). Article size is reduced by mechanical squeezing in first direction by using mechanical squeezing appliances (30) on applying uniform pressure to opposite surfaces (1'). Article with reduced size is transferred from mechanical squeesing appliances (30) to evacuation appliances (40). Evacuation of reduced size article (10) sealed in foil (25) is effected unless pressure inside package (5) is equalized by pressure on surfaces (1') required to produce for said reduced size. Evacuation of article (1) is selected to maintain aforesaid reduced size. Evacuation is effected by maintaining said reduced size and mechanical squeezing is terminated with the help of said mechanical squeezing appliances.
