SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to general and forensic psychiatry, namely to forensic psychiatric prevention, and can be used for diagnostics of morbid attraction to alcohol and other psychoactive substances (PAS) in people with severe mental disorders, who are in compulsory treatment. Method consists in the fact that a subject is presented with a series of visual stimuli containing neutral and provocative visual stimuli, wherein estimating-investigating ocular behaviour is evaluated by three factors: viewing time (t_SUM) - summary duration of fixations of sight on provocative stimuli during visual diagnostic test; number of switching (P_SUM) - total number of view switching from provocative stimuli to neutral during visual diagnostic test and glare fixation (F_SUM) is an indicator of the total number of primary unconscious fixations of the gaze on provocative stimuli during the visual diagnostic test. That is followed by counting the discriminant function.

EFFECT: invention provides higher diagnostic accuracy of morbid attraction to alcohol and other surfactants.
