FIELD: medicine; medical psychology.
SUBSTANCE: examined person is presented with four cards with black-and-white images of figures of people who are in a situation of social interaction with each other: a situation containing perceptual interference with information deficit; a situation containing perceptual interference with information surplus; a situation containing a contradiction with information surplus; a situation with simple silhouettes with information deficit. The presentation of cards, in turn, is accompanied by questions about depicted situations. After that, answers are formalized according to such indicators as: adequacy of interpretation of the situation containing perceptual interference with information deficit; recognition of emotions of participants in the situation containing perceptual interference with information deficit; recognition of emotions of participants in the situation containing perceptual interference with information surplus; recognition of emotions of participants in the situation containing a contradiction with information surplus; adequacy of interpretation of the situation with simple silhouettes with information deficit. Answers are evaluated in points: 1 point - full compliance of the answer, 0.5 points - in partial compliance, 0 points - in complete non-compliance. In addition, EEG is performed and its following indicators are used: the presence of a reaction of alpha-rhythm activation to closing the eyes, a high upper value of a beta-rhythm amplitude - more than 15 mcV, the pathological appearance of a beta-rhythm in temporal and parietal parts of the brain. EEG indicators are evaluated in points: 1 point if available, 0 points if absent. A discriminant function is calculated according to the stated formula. The obtained value of the discriminant function is compared with the constant of -5.337. If its value is greater than the constant, it is concluded that the subject has disorders of self-regulation, if the value is less than or equal to the constant, it is concluded that there are no disorders of self-regulation.
EFFECT: method allows for a differentiated assessment of the degree of dysregulation of behavior in persons with personality disorders by evaluating a set of the most significant indicators.
