FIELD: treatment of water, industrial and household waste water.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for processes of preparation of solutions of flocculants during preparation of water for drinking purposes, purification of waste water, condensation of slurries of ore dressing enterprises, at coal beneficiation, extraction of valuable minerals. Method for preparing a solution of a flocculant comprises feeding a dry flocculant into a container pre-filled with water, where dissolution is carried out in three steps - rapid mixing, slow mixing and aging, according to the invention all steps are carried out in one container, wherein the dry flocculant is subjected to rapid mixing with water, then formed concentrate is directed into zone of slow mixing in the same vessel, which is combined with aging zone, from where it is removed in form of ready solution. Device for implementing the method includes a dissolution vessel, mixing devices, for rapid mixing - rotor-stator mixing device, rotor and stator surfaces contain a certain number of holes for passage of liquid, for slow mixing - a mixing device of conical mixer type, comprising a hub installed on a rotating vertical shaft, on which blades with a disk are fixed, wherein blades have a curved shape, wherein both mixing devices are installed in one dissolution vessel, mixing device of conical mixer type is installed coaxially to capacity for dissolution, and mixing device of rotor-stator type - with eccentricity, rotation frequency of rotor in mixing device of rotor-stator type is set in range from 1400 to 3000 rpm, and gap between rotor and stator is set in range from 100 mcm to 2000 mcm.
EFFECT: invention provides fast and complete dissolution of dry flocculants due to improved quality of mixing and prevention of lumps, higher efficiency per unit volume of apparatus, simplification of the plant design for flocculant preparation, mobility (easier transportation, assembly and installation), reduction of overall dimensions of the plant.
