FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of integrating peripheral devices as part of software and hardware systems. Software and hardware system includes at least one peripheral device connected to central computing unit, equipped with a Linux-like operating system (OS). System-wide software (SWS) is installed on each computing unit. Integral unified means of information exchange of software and hardware systems are provided. Guaranteed protected interaction between end applications and peripheral devices of software and hardware systems is provided by means of system-wide software interfaces. Protected storage of configuration settings and current conditions of peripheral equipment of software and hardware systems is formed. Transparent control of arbitrary peripheral devices of the software and hardware systems is realized by means of installed end applications through system-wide software (SWS), compatible with XFS 3.20 and higher standards specifications, OPOS and OPC UA. Final software and hardware systems are formed to perform the required range of functional tasks of software and hardware systems.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing uniform (unified) data exchange and control of these peripheral devices.
