FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to a method for individual protection against pathogenic microorganisms and viruses and individual protection against pathogenic microorganisms and viruses. Method involves air suction from the ambient atmosphere and its subsequent treatment in the air channel channels before feeding into the mask space to the protected parts of the head. Treatment consists in filtration, further increase of pressure, further disinfection with ultraviolet rays in the wavelength range of 220–300 nm and heat and humidity air treatment. During air treatment, parameters of air treatment processes are controlled and controlled. Before the heat and moisture treatment of air, its flow is divided into two parts, one of which is directed into the mask space, and the other one – to recirculation due to mixing to the flow between filtration and pressure increase. Individual protection means includes a helmet made from transparent material, a separate air treatment unit connected to it by means of a flexible hose. Facility has a control system and a power supply unit. Flexible hose enters the helmet in the rear part. In the air treatment unit, the main air channel is installed, in which the filtration system with replaceable filters is arranged in series, fan with DC motor and air disinfection chamber with ultraviolet radiation source in the wavelength range of 220–300 nm. Chamber walls are made from material reflecting radiation in specified wavelength range. Air preparation unit includes temperature sensors installed at the inlet of the disinfection chamber and at the outlet of the air treatment unit. Control system includes programmed electronic unit designed to control operation of whole device. Air preparation unit is equipped with a return channel providing air movement from the disinfection chamber to the main channel section between the filtration system and the fan.
EFFECT: increased time of no-failure operation both in part of protection against pathogenic microorganisms, and in part of maintenance of long time of operability of the user.
