SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compression piston ring (1). In particular, described is a piston ring as a second piston ring for a set of piston rings of three rings, in middle relative to axial height of area (Bm) of working surface comprises alternating in circumferential direction convex sections (Ax) and concave sections (Av), note here that concave sections form profile recesses on convex barrel-like working surface 2.
EFFECT: invention provides sufficient oil removal and at the same time enables to exclude radial displacement from the cylinder wall.
