SUBSTANCE: method of controlling pressure (p) in volume (6) of underground storage consists in that volume (6) of underground storage is at least partially filled with incompressible fluid medium (7), pressure in volume (6) of underground storage is monitored, in which compressible fluid (8) can be introduced into volume (6) of underground storage and removed therefrom. If pressure (p) in volume (6) of underground storage reaches specified pressure upper limit (pmax), incompressible fluid (7) is extracted from underground store (6) volume to reduce pressure (p) in volume (6) of underground storage. If pressure (p) in the volume of the underground storage reaches the specified lower pressure limit (pmin), incompressible fluid (7) is introduced into volume (6) of underground storage to increase pressure (p) in volume (6) of underground storage.
EFFECT: method according to the present invention increases the amount of compressible fluid, similar to helium, stored in volume (6) of underground storage, for example in salt cavern, pressure control by input or extraction of incompressible fluid medium, similar to brine solution.
