FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cable harness check and measurement device. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that during cable harness (2) testing test section (18) of this cable harness (2) is selected, which is a bundle of lines with lines (4a–f), measuring electrode (16) of measuring device (12) is placed on test section (18), which forms corresponding capacitor (Ca–c) with each of lines (4a–f), selected test line and supplied to it test signal (P), reference potential (R) is supplied to all other lines, nominal value (K) is determined based on electric potential (M) of measuring electrode (16) and decision (E) is made, whether the tested line is in test section (18), based on whether the nominal value (K) satisfies the testing criterion (T) or not, wherein at least a portion of measurement electrode (16) is in the form of multiple structure (80), which has at least two measuring chambers (82), wherein at least one of lines (4a–f) of the line bundle is inserted into each of measurement chambers (82).

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of screening of tested line by other lines in relation to electrode and improvement of measurement accuracy.
