FIELD: ammunition of small arms.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cartridges with armor-piercing and sniper bullets. Armor-piercing bullet has head and driving parts. It comprises shell in the form of shell from soft material and core from material of increased hardness. Core is installed in shell with protrusion of its conic head part by its open front end face. Head part of the bullet is made in the form of a combination of a cone and a truncated cone. Cone has taper angle of 58–62°. It is formed in the head part of the core. Truncated cone has cone angle of 6.5–8.5° and height (1.1–1.3)d, where d is bullet caliber. It is formed in front part of shell. This shell is made of nickel metal. Said core is made from hard alloy. Its weight makes 0.63–0.71 of bullet weight.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in bullet piercing action.
