FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pile-driving devices. Pile-driving device for driving driven element into soil includes bearing part with mast, along which support slides with impact block are moved along guide mast. Impact pulses are created by means of percussion unit. Driving elements are driven into soil by impact pulses. Percussion unit is connected with support slides by means of connecting rope at distance that varies during driving in. In process of driving in, connecting rope is held in stretched state by means of tensioning device. Invention also relates to a method for driving a driven element into the soil using a pile-driving device.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of the driving process.
