FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to rheumatology and ophthalmology, and can be used for diagnosing degenerative corneal changes in patients suffering rheumatoid arthritis depending on the determined rheumatoid factor. With indices less than 14 IU/ml, diagnosed absence perilimbal degenerative changes of a cornea in eye fissure projection with the outer and inner sides, and at rates greater than or equal to 14 IU/ml – presence of corneal changes.
EFFECT: method enables predicting degenerative corneal changes in patients suffering rheumatoid arthritis, without special ophthalmic examination – biomicroscopy, by determining the rheumo factor by standard technique, that allows diagnosing presence or absence of degenerative perilimbal changes of a cornea in a projection of an eye fissure.
