FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and is intended to predict severe form of dry eye syndrome (DES) in Sjögren syndrome associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Identification of predisposing TT and AA genotypes of polymorphic markers rs7947461 (C/T) and rs4144331 (C/A) of TRIM21 gene is carried out, respectively. When they are detected, a severe form of dry eye syndrome is predicted in Sjögren syndrome associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides a prediction of severe form of DES in Sjögren syndrome associated with RA, in order to be able to choose an adequate method for prevention of dry eye syndrome, as well as the formation of risk groups.
