FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing high-strength yarn based on para-aramid and polyethylene fibers. Invention can be used in making high-strength materials and articles of various types, for example textile materials for protective articles, carcasses of various vehicles, main pipelines, including high pressure. Method of producing Kevlar-polyethylene thread involves treatment of para-aramide fibers and polyethylene fibers with nonequilibrium low-temperature plasma. Then, the plasma-passing filaments are twisted into a two-component suture, in the center of which there are high-pressure polyethylene fibers, and on the periphery, para-aramid fibers. After that twisted into suture para-aramide fibers and high-pressure polyethylene fibers are processed by nonequilibrium low-temperature plasma, which allows to produce hydrophobic or hydrophilic thread depending on specified requirements.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is improved performance of article.
