SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and method for copper refining by electrolysis of electrolyte. Device comprises a container filled with electrolyte, with an anode made of blister copper and a cathode of pure copper, which are arranged with the possibility of supplying voltage thereto, magnetic conductor with pole tips, with electrodes arranged between them, comprising two primary coils with opposite wire windings, secondary coil, load of which is electrodes, and feedback coil, said primary coils are located coaxially and connected in parallel to source of constant pulse voltage with providing one-sided direction of their magnetic field vectors along magnetic conductor. Disclosed is a method for copper refining by electrolysis of an electrolyte using water as an electrolyte, wherein pulse rectified voltage is supplied to the electrodes.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of obtaining copper by electrolysis due to obtaining additional energy in form of closed through electrolyte ellipsoidal flow magnetic conductor.
