FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of marking of granules of ammonium nitrate, which is commercially available for the purpose of its subsequent identification. Invention can be used in marking class A saltpeter in order to quickly identify saltpeter grade and to set manufacturer, batch number and production date of product. Due to porous structure of saltpeter granules, marking powder with particle size from 0.2 to 2 mcm penetrates into pores and is retained therein. Composite can further contain magnetic phase based on iron (III) compounds, for identification of explosive substance after explosion.
EFFECT: advantage of the obtained marking composition and the approach consists in simple and quick mixing of the marking powder containing a marking component on the basis of metals, with ready granules of ammonium nitrate in amount of 0_001–0_1 wt% of the weight of the saltpeter granules.
