FIELD: solar power systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods of controlling output power of solar panels based on concentrators. Proposed are a system and a method of generating electric power from a solar power source using at least one grid of concentrators having photovoltaic cells and corresponding groups of reflectors for directing light to photovoltaic cells. Concentration factor characterizing part of electric power generated for power supply of spacecraft is determined. Coefficient of concentration is fed into control module on concentrator grid. Control module selects a certain number of reflectors from total number of reflectors for orientation with occupancy of power supply position to photovoltaic elements, wherein selected number of reflectors corresponds to concentration coefficient of total number of reflectors.
EFFECT: technical result is preventing damage caused by excess power on spacecraft.
