SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agriculture. Disclosed is a method of controlling a clamping force of a pneumatic seeder, which includes a frame, a plurality of sowing units arranged on the frame for planting seeds into a plurality of furrows. Each of the sowing units has an actuating element for the controlled application of the clamping force by the sowing unit. On the frame there are multiple fertilizer units for arrangement of fertilizer between furrows for seeds, each of which has an actuating element for controlled application of clamping force by the fertilizer unit. Method includes steps of summarizing clamping force of all sowing units from their plurality and clamping force of all fertilizer units from their plurality to determine common applied clamping force; comparing the total applied clamping force with the maximum clamping force, which is the total weight of the pneumatic seeder or a value less than the total weight of the pneumatic seeder and installed by the operator; and reducing total applied clamping force when total applied clamping force is equal to or greater than maximum clamping force.

EFFECT: possibility to control common applied pressure force to maintain acceptable depth of seeds planting.
