FIELD: radar ranging.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and can be used in radar stations (RS) to improve the quality of detecting modulated signals on the background of passive interference (PI). Method comprises setting the number of spatial clusters for which the sum of detection features of the signal exceeding the noise threshold in the cluster (SENT) is calculated and stored; a view cycle number, on which the sum of the SENT detection features has been changed; amplitude of signals after inter-period processing for current scanning cycle; maximum amplitude after inter-period processing for current scanning cycle; features of detecting point objects with Doppler frequency shift after inter-period processing. Further, maximum amplitudes in clusters are used for comparison with threshold values excluding noise operation, after which signs of excess over threshold values are generated. Signs of SENT are accumulated and number of viewing cycles in clusters is changed. It is checked whether values of accumulated SENT characteristics lie in the specified intervals, as well as information in clusters, to which no changes have been made. Cycle number is changed to current one, and sum of SENT features is reduced by one. Accumulated sums of the sum of the SENT attributes are compared with a PI detection criterion, obtaining PI detection in clusters. Gates of the detected PI are expanded to form PI gates, signs of their expansion and features of the detected point objects with Doppler frequency shift.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing inter-survey mapping of PI for pulse-Doppler RS.
