FIELD: radar.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in surveillance and sector radar stations (radars) to solve problems of detecting manoeuvring small air objects (targets) in conditions of low signal-to-noise ratios. The claimed method involves lowering the primary signal detection threshold, accumulating marks over several radar surveys, grouping marks, using parametric Hough and Radon transformations to the formed groups, restoring trajectory segments and combining them according to spatio-temporal parameters. After which the most probable trajectories are selected and at the same time a decision is made to detect targets. A device for implementing the method is also claimed.
EFFECT: increase in the detection range of manoeuvring small-sized air objects and increase in the probability of detecting true trajectories in conditions of low signal-to-noise ratios.
