SUBSTANCE: tampon applicator comprising an inner tube and an outer tube, wherein the inner tube is configured to slide inside the outer tube; applicator comprises a front end, where multiple projections are provided on outer surface of inner tube at its front end and multiple pins are provided on inner surface of outer tube at its front end; and where the applicator has one or more of the following distinctive features: the number of protrusions at the front end of the inner tube is not the same as the number of pins at the front end of the outer tube; number of ledges at front end of inner tube is equal to number of studs at front end of outer tube; and one or more projections are arranged asymmetrically around the outer surface of the inner tube such that the distance between two adjacent projections is different for all adjacent pairs of projections; number of ledges at front end of inner tube is equal to number of studs at front end of outer tube; and one or more studs is arranged asymmetrically around the inner surface of the outer tube such that the distance between two adjacent pins is different for all adjacent pairs of studs.
