SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for extraction of light inert gas from group of helium, neon and argon, from gas mixes. Device comprises an adsorption separation unit 10, comprising a plurality of containers, comprising an adsorbent layer, with pipelines, collectors of raw material, product and residual gas, and valves located on pipelines, as well as the second separation unit 20. Controller 80 is in signal communication with sensor 50 and is configured to control the flow of light inert gas from the second gas source 17 to the second inlet of the gas mixing device 60 based on the signals of sensor 50. In another embodiment, method is provided for separating feed gas stream 11, containing light inert gas and at least one other gaseous component, to stream 25, rich in light inert gas, and stream 14, which is poor with a light inert gas. Light inert gas flow rate in the second gas flow 17, recycled to the adsorption separation unit 10, controlling, based on the content of light inert gas content in at least one of the feed gas stream 11, combined gas flow 12 or raw gas stream 15 of first separating adsorption unit 10.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables to produce a gaseous product containing a light inert gas with a given concentration from feed streams in which concentration of light inert gas varies.
