In the method of developing a hierarchical asset management application, executed by the system controller, determining an input equipment list and associated parameters; selecting template of customized assets from library; creating a customized asset instance for the selected equipment item; filling selected template with working limitations and working targets for selected equipment element and developing hierarchical layout of control relationships of assets. Hierarchical assets management application and corresponding requirements to control hardware are integrated with equipment elements for creation of integrated intellectual property management system.
