FIELD: extraction metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of removing metal impurities from solution of copper refining electrolyte. Refining electrolyte solution containing an impurity metal is in contact with a phosphoric acid ester having the structural formula given below,
where R1 includes a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or aryl group, and wherein the impurity metal is selected from a group consisting of iron, antimony, arsenic, bismuth, tin and combinations thereof.
EFFECT: methods enable to achieve reduction of content of impurity metals in solution of copper refining electrolyte.
