FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of precious metals and can be used for extraction of gold (III) with high selectance from solutions. Method of extracting gold from aqueous-salt solutions consists in extraction by sulfones, their mixtures or their solutions in organic vehicle, followed by re-extraction with recovering or alkaline stripping solution. In this case, sulfones of general formula are used (1) (1), in which R1 and R2 are alkene substituents containing from 7 to 10 carbon atoms.
EFFECT: increase in drawing and selectivity of gold recovery, and use of minimum amount of extractant for processing large volumes of aqueous solutions by regenerating and returning the extractant to extraction cycle.
