To expand the field of application and functionality in the device for determining strength properties of solid materials, comprising platform 1 with upper base 2 and lower base 3, working chamber 4 installed on lower base 3, loading mechanism 5 installed in bearing supports 6 and connected by means of rigid rod 7 to loading frame 8, deformation meter 9, electronic control unit 10 with control panel 11 and standby power supply unit 12, according to the invention, the rod is made in the form of rigid rod 7, working chamber 4 is made in the form of a hollow cylinder, which side wall has windows, and is installed on platform 1 lower base 3, and deformation meter 9 is under platform 1 upper base 2, loading frame 8 has hole 28 for attachment of replaceable working members 29.

EFFECT: possibility of studying the process of cutting or compressing agricultural materials, as well as visual observation of these processes.
