FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: housing of a chamber may be made from transparent or opaque material which meets rigidity and strength requirements, wherein the inside of the chamber which is filled with working medium, is first fitted with radiation source(s) and radiation detector(s) in form of mini-video camera(s) or photosensitive array(s) connected by electrical channels to a data collection unit for automatic capturing of the image of the deformation process and traces of destruction at different loading phases on the display of the computer which controls the testing process. Results of the obtained images are read while determining strength and deformation characteristics of the test material.
EFFECT: enabling testing of specimens of any material with an arbitrary shape and dimensions, high reliability of the obtained information and wider field of use.
