FIELD: protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of protective coatings on composite combustion materials and articles made therefrom for defense industry. Method of applying protective coating on composite combustible material, including creation of substrate layer and main protective coating of two layers of varnish EP-5123 by means of pulverization for 8–12 s, wherein to create a substrate, the combustible material is treated with acetone by dipping in a solvent with exposure for not more than 1 s, followed by drying for 1.5–2.5 hours.
EFFECT: invention ensures reduction of drying process duration, decrease of ignition delay time of combustible material and reduction of energy consumption at drying of one set of rigid combustible cap.
