FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of artillery equipment and concerns development of a rigid combustible cap of a modular propellant charge for field artillery shots. Modular propellant charge includes a cap, a powder charge from ballistite powder, an igniting tube. Tubular ballistite powder is used as a powder charge. Between the powder charge and the cap there are two rings made of combustible material with thickness of 4–5 mm at height of 90–95 mm and 25–30 mm from the bottom part, respectively.
EFFECT: providing protection of combustible material of cap from migration of nitroesters from ballistic high-energy powder.
