FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: helical spring (2) for suspension of vehicle includes cylindrical working part made between part (20) of lower end turn and part (21) of upper end turn. In at least one part of end turn there formed is convergent part (25), (26) for control of line (FL) of action of force acting on helical spring (2). Tapered part (25), (26) is formed so that thickness decreases wedge-like/conically from part with variable thickness, provided in middle part (20), (21) of the end coil, to the distal end of wire (4) along its length. Variable-thickness part is located at point next to force action line (FL).
EFFECT: controlling the angle of inclination of the force action line acting on the helical spring, as well as adjusting the mismatch between the center of each of the end coil parts and the working part center, so that the force action line can correspond to the target position.
