FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: helical spring (2) includes part (20) of lower end turn, which is in contact with lower support (10) for spring. Part (21) of upper end turn is in contact with upper support (11) for spring. Working part (22) is made between part (20) of lower end turn and part (21) of upper end coil. Helical spring (2) is cylindrical relative to axis of working part (22) in free configuration, in which it is not compressed. With respect to coordinate system, in which force action line (FL) is received as axis Z, helical spring (2) is cylindrical with constant pitch in direction along axis Z in its compressed configuration, in which it is compressed to preset height.
EFFECT: achieving stress leveling without creation of bending in compression state up to the specified height, as well as possibility of hot winding manufacturing using the column-type mandrel.
