FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has elongated wire casing. The casing has predefined configuration in unloaded state and elongated shape with essentially straight central line during its introduction through catheter towards the place in the blood vessel under treatment. After being liberated from the catheter, the device assumes complex curved shape depending on the predefined configuration and on the action exerted by the blood vessel. The casing has at least one compartment enclosed between its frontal and back end where essentially no central line curvature is available or the curvature is so small that it has no spiral trajectory on a 20 mm long segment. The frontal end section of the wire carcass is designed for carrying out friction attachment to the blood vessel wall when being pushed out from the catheter until the mentioned spiralless segment is forced out from the catheter. When forced out from the catheter, the spiralless segment curves aside and directs towards the blood vessel lumen center and continues its motion towards the other blood vessel wall spiralless segment to which becomes attached on friction. A set of wire members appears when continuing pushing the device from the catheter to maintain effective blood vessel occlusion. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 13 cl, 14 dwg, 1 tbl
