FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing tin (IV) salt with anions of nitric and benzoic acids by oxidation of corresponding tin (II) salts with hydrogen peroxide. As initial raw material for production of tin (IV) salt formula Sn(NO3)2(OCOC6H5)2 is selected tin (II) benzoate or nitrate, which are oxidised with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of nitric or benzoic acid at room temperature in a vertical-type bead mill in the presence of a grinding agent of glass beads, loaded in weight ratio with the rest of load of 1:1, in white spirit as base solvent of volume phase, wherein the tin (II) salt is loaded in order to obtain product of 0.2–0.5 mol/kg, 10–17 % aqueous hydrogen peroxide is taken with 5–15 % stoichiometric excess with respect to the loaded tin salt, and the acid in molar ratio 2.1–2.4. Loading is started with grinding agent and hydrogen peroxide for wetting of solid phase of glass beads, then white spirit is introduced as solvent of volumetric phase, benzoic acid and tin (II) nitrate, or hydrogen peroxide and 54 % nitric acid are added for wetting the grinding agent, then the volume phase solvent and the rest reagents in any sequence. Process is started with input of mechanical mixing of bead mill contents and is carried out with current control of accumulation of tin (IV) salt and consumption of tin (II) salt (continuously), acid and peroxide (selectively) until practically complete consumption of tin (II) salt, after which mixing is stopped, content of reactor is transferred into filter unit, where on mesh as filtration partition glass beads are separated from reaction mixture, latter is held for 3–3.5 hours and filtered, filter cake is washed with a volumetric phase solvent and then dried or directed for additional purification, the filtrate is separated into aqueous and organic phases which are analyzed, accumulated and used for the intended purpose, including in a repeated process load.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the process of producing said tin salt and achieves a high percentage of transition of the weight of the initial reagents to the weight of the end product.
