FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for catalytic production of homo- and co-oligomers of α-methylstyrene and isopentenes. Method is characterized by that catalyst used is hierarchical zeolite H-Ymmm, reaction is carried out in chlorobenzene in molar ratio α-methylstyrene : isopentenes = 1:1.5–2, catalyst amount 5–30 wt% mixture of initial unsaturated compounds at 40–65 °C at atmospheric pressure for 3–10 hours.

EFFECT: efficient method of producing a mixture of homo- and co-oligomers α-methylstyrene with isopentenes, which enables to obtain desired compounds in good yield under mild conditions.
