FIELD: communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in wireless communication systems. To this end, the user terminal determines one of the first type uplink scrambling sequences and generates a random access message, using determined one of first type uplink scrambling sequences. Random access message is transmitted to the base station. User terminal receives from a base station a second scrambling uplink sequence of a different type and uses it for subsequent communication with radio base station. For example, the first of the uplink scrambling sequences can be associated with a specific cell region of the radio base station or with a specific radio access channel associated with the radio base station, but they are not specifically assigned to any user terminals, and the second uplink scrambling sequence can be selected from the second set of uplink scrambling sequences, assigned to individual specific user terminals.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of random access to basic radio station using user terminal.
