FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Disclosed is a method for biological indication of radiation exposure of alpha-emitting radionuclides by determining chromosome aberrations in lymphocytes of peripheral blood. Frequency of intrachromosomal aberrations and complex chromosome rearrangements is determined in a control group formed of individuals not exposed to occupational exposure, who did not participate in elimination of radiation accidents not living on radiation-contaminated territories and not exposed to radiotherapy, and in persons supposedly exposed to internal alpha-radiation. If observing the frequency of intrachromosomal aberrations and complex chromosome rearrangements above the background one, a conclusion is made on the fact of internal alpha radiation.
EFFECT: invention provides biological indication of radiation effect of alpha-emitting radionuclides.
