SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a liquid catalytic cracking microspheric catalyst comprising Y-zeolite and a barium ion, wherein the Y-zeolite comprises an elementary cell of a Y-zeolite having an ion-exchange center III, and the elementary cell of the Y-zeolite contains a barium ion on an ion-exchange center III. Invention also relates to a method of making a microspheric catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a catalyst with improved selectivity for butylene, low coke production, reduced susceptibility to hydride transfer and higher fraction of butylene in liquefied petroleum gas.
