FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of copper ultrafine electrolytic powder. Method involves electrolysis to obtain a copper powder, drying the obtained powder, grinding and classification. Electrolysis is carried out with soluble copper anode in electrolyte with temperature from 45 to 55 °C at concentration of sulphuric acid from 90 to 160 g/dm3, chloride ions from 20 to 60 mg/dm3 and copper sulphate in terms of copper from 5.0 to 10.0 g/dm3. Cathodes are used in the form of copper rods with diameter from 8 to 12 mm at cathode current density from 3,100 to 3,700 A/m2. Copper powder obtained during electrolysis is dissected, after drying and grinding, through meshes with mesh size from 20 to 71 mcm to obtain powder with average particle size (D50) from 7 to 14 mcm, which is then subjected to air classification at rotor rpm from 600 to 2200 rpm and fan power from 70 to 100 %.
EFFECT: obtaining copper powder of fractions with average particle size (D50) from 3 to 7 mcm with allowance ± 0_75 mcm and 8–9 mcm with allowance ±1 mcm.
