FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of finely dispersed silver powder. Method comprises reducing silver in a reaction solution by dropping a solution of silver nitrate with temperature of 25 °C with gum arabic added to ascorbic acid solution, filtration and drying the obtained precipitate. What is used is a solution of ascorbic acid with concentration of 10–30 g/dm3 and pH equal to 1-3, and a solution of silver nitrate with concentration of silver of 12–25 g/dm3. Gum arabic is added to the silver nitrate solution in amount of 5–10 wt. % of silver, the silver nitrate solution was fed at rate of 65–110 cm3/min at a stirring rate of the reaction solution of 400–600 rev/min, and the precipitate was dried and milled to give a disperse silver powder with particle size D50 from 0.9 to 3.9 mcm.
EFFECT: obtaining fine powder with high dispersion, specific surface area and density of draft.
