FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding production, namely, to mechanized arc welding by consumable electrode in medium of protective gases, and can be used for welding of structures or parts butt-joint without a gap. In the proposed method of arc welding with a consumable electrode in the medium of protective gases an electric arc is formed with formation of a welding bath and formation of a sequence of welding cycles. Cycles consist of phase of arc burning and phase of short circuit between electrode and welding bath. At that, at the initial moment of the arc burning phase, a high-current energy pulse is supplied. It provides a mode of small-drop transfer, or jet transfer, or mode of transfer of electrode metal in the form of vapours. This provides drop-free transfer of electrode metal with formation of a welding bath. After that electrode end with bath is approached in arc burning maintenance mode and electrode is immersed into welding bath with energy pulse supplied to electrode.
EFFECT: technical result of claimed method is improvement of welding quality due to deep penetration of welding bath.
