FIELD: furniture.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a piece of furniture. Piece of furniture with an orthopaedic seat includes a seat and support elements. Seat under the upholstery consists of two halves - right and left and two crossbeams - front and rear, connecting along the edges of the half to form a longitudinal hole, which is located along the halves. Width of hole between halves varies from 50 to 100 mm. Furniture item may have a backrest and/or armrests. Lower seat base can be made straight.
EFFECT: technical result consists in creating a piece of furniture with an orthopaedic seat, providing during its use reduced pressure on the tailbone and pelvic organs of a sitting person.
