SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and livestock sector. Method comprises administering to recipient cows for 30 days starting from first day of transfer thereof to dry period, in the main ration of a two-component phyto-biotic fodder additive based on extracts of medicinal herbs of Leuzea carthamoides and Urtica dioica 50 g per head per day, which enables reducing the possibility of postnatal pathologies in animals.
EFFECT: described is a method for preventing postpartum complications in recipient cows.
