FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement equipment and can be used for investigation of thermophysical characteristics of heat-insulating materials with high value of specific thermal resistance, mainly vacuum heat-insulating articles. In the invention, the heat flow is divided into two flows, one of which is passed successively through the first reference object with a high value of specific thermal resistance, and the analysed object, and the other flow is sequentially passed through a second reference object with a large value of specific thermal resistance and a third reference object with a low value of specific thermal resistance, determining time intervals, during which the temperature of the first and second reference objects is increased by a given value, from the difference in said time intervals, determining the ratio of the specific thermal resistance of the analysed object to the specific thermal resistance of the third reference object from the graph of the relationship between these values, which is obtained beforehand by replacing the analysed object with versions of the fourth reference object with different value of specific thermal resistance and heat capacity identical to the investigated object.
EFFECT: technical result is shorter duration of experiment on analysed object with very high value of specific thermal resistance from several hours to 10 minutes.
