FIELD: rolling production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling production and can be used in production of hot-rolled coil of low-alloy steel intended mainly for production of welded pipes. Method includes hot rolling of continuous-cast workpiece in stands of roughing group of broad-strip mill and transportation of obtained rolled stock along roller table to feed furnace, cooling with water when preset temperature of rolled stock exceeds preset value, besides, water is supplied to its upper and lower surfaces. Specific consumption of water supplied to each of said surfaces of drawbar is 40÷100 m3/h per 1 m2 surface. Length of zone (L1), in which the decks are cooled with water, is L1=k1∙Hmax, where k1=100÷500 is empirical dimensionless coefficient, Hmax is maximum allowable thickness of rolled stock for broadband mill. Thereafter, the rolling mill is heated in the feed furnace and water descaling from its surfaces. When the preset temperature value is exceeded after its heating in the through furnace, the flow of water supplied to its surface during the water descaling. Then rolling of rolled stock in stands of finishing group of broad-strip mill, laminar cooling of obtained rolled stock with water and its further coiling are performed.

EFFECT: technical result consists in formation of favorable structural-phase composition and high level of mechanical properties of rolled stock.
