FIELD: telecommunications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data transmission between on-board device and remote processing center. Disclosed is a method of transmitting data between on-board device (10), which receives traffic and/or control data of vehicle (1), and remote processing center (100), and comprises steps of: obtaining said data using on-board device (10) and storing said data in log memory (18) from on-board device (10); evaluating, by means of onboard device (10), whether a logic condition is contained in a plurality of possible logic conditions, each of which is associated with a corresponding type of event; sending, if said logic condition is performed, by means of on-board device message with data connection request for data transmission, which requests connection with mobile network of cellular radio communication for request of installation of GPRS-connection between on-board device and remote processing center, wherein message with data connection request for data transmission contains data identifying type of event associated with said logic condition; receiving a connection request for transmitting data in a remote processing center using a mobile cellular radio network; processing a message requesting a connection for transmitting data in a remote processing center for approving or rejecting a connection request based on said identification data.

EFFECT: technical result is optimization of bidirectional communication with remote processing center and bandwidth.
