SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to aromatisation of hydrocarbons using a flavouring catalyst, particularly a method of producing a flavouring catalyst and embodiments of a method of producing a substrate based on bound zeolite for making a catalyst. Method of obtaining a substrate includes bringing zeolite powder into contact with a binder and water to produce a paste, moulding the paste to produce a wet extruded base, removing excess water from the wet extruded base, bringing the extruded base into contact with the fluorine-containing compound, calcining the fluorinated extruded base, washing the calcined fluorinated extruded base, drying the washed calcined fluorinated extruded base and calcining the dried washed calcined fluorinated extruded base to obtain a substrate. Substrate based on bound zeolite is brought into contact with Group VIII metal and a chlorine-containing compound to obtain a flavouring catalyst.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved methods of producing aromatization catalysts with high selectivity and conversion.
