FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a local tracking system for mobile objects. System comprises a transponder mounted on a tracked mobile object, a plurality of stationary radio-frequency readers connected to each other in a network. Readers are placed at positions of technological operations so that by parameters of signal received by reader from transponder of tracked mobile object, presence of said object is established at the position of process operation. Thermally protected transponder is also disclosed.
EFFECT: reliable identification of moved objects, high automation.
